Shirley “Yvonne” Reed

Shirley “Yvonne” Reed, daughter of the late Robert Parker and Lola (Martin) Parker-Sutton, was born in Bunker, Missouri, on December 28, 1937. She departed this life at her residence in Lesterville, Missouri, on October 20, 2021, at the age of 83.

On July 16, 1955, in Laramie, Wyoming, Yvonne was united in marriage to Donald Reed and to this union two children were born. Yvonne was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Lesterville, Missouri. Yvonne loved travel and holiday baking. She was an enthusiastic sports fan and an advocate of higher education. Yvonne’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. 

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Willa Dean Cook, and two brothers, Junior and Ray Gene Parker.

Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Don Reed of Lesterville, Missouri, one son, Charles Reed and wife Malette of Heath, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Galaske of St. Louis, Missouri, 5 grandchildren, Collette Lozier and husband Andrew, Clinton Galaske and wife Lauren, Bradford Galaske, Stephanie Duggan and husband Matt, and Elizabeth Reed, and 2 great-grandchildren, Amelia Lozier and August Lozier. Yvonne will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing. 

Visitation was Monday, October 25, 2021, 11AM-1PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri.Funeral followed at 1PM.Minister was Pastor Mitch Bryant.

Burial was at Rayfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt Duggan, Clinton Galaske, Bradford Galaske, Gary Botkins, Kenny Cook and Dennis Burns. In Lieu of Flowers, Donations can be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church or Serenity Hospice. Arrangements by McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri
