Karen Elaine Kay
Karen Elaine Kay, daughter of the late James Leman Hasty and Edna Marie (Williams) Hasty, was born in Ironton, Missouri, on April 19, 1948. She departed this life at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland, Florida, on October 28, 2021, at the age of 73.
On October 7, 1967, in Ballwin, Missouri, Karen was united in marriage to Harold Kay and to this union two children were born. Karen enjoyed reading, cooking meals for her family and spending time with them.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Charley Linddel Hasty.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Harold Kay of Auburndale, Florida, one son, Michael Kay and wife Dawn of Hillsboro, Missouri, one daughter, Deborah Kay and fiancé Brian Ceriotti of St. Louis City, Missouri, one brother, Darrell Wayne Hasty of Fenton, Missouri, two sisters, Donna Story of Warrior, Alabama, and Maita Sue Hoffman of High Ridge, Missouri, and 4 grandchildren, Cynthia, Dakota, Brittany and Bailey. Karen will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation was Saturday, November 6, 2021, 11AM-12PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri. Funeral followed at 12PM.Minister was Pastor Greg Freeman.
