Ronald R. Karn

Karn, Ronald R. of Cedar Hill, Missouri was born October 24, 1950 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 71 years and 9 days.

He is preceded in death by two siblings, Richard Brooks and Duke Dale Karn; mother-in-law, Mary Steele; sister-in-law, Pat Miller; and life-long friend, Douglas Pokorny.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, 2 months and 1 day, Rose (nee Steele) Karn; one child, Kathy (Jimmy) Johnson; three grandchildren, Branon Johnson, Noah Johnson, and Kate Johnson; three siblings, Mary Ann Fox, Sherry Miller, and Tammy Bishop; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Ron was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was involved with the VFW, Eagles, and Elks. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. When indoors he enjoyed playing chess and keeping up to date with business news. For many, their first impression was a big, gruff, scary guy; however, once people knew him it was very clear his bark was worse than his bite! He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by those that knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends near the Poplar Bluff area.
