Lillian “Berniece” McEntire

Lillian “Berniece” McEntire, 92, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, MO. She was born in Piedmont, MO, April 25, 1929, to parents William and Martha (Montgomery) Thompson.  

Berniece was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She married Raymond McEntire in 1971 and he precedes her in death. Berniece was an inspector at a tool and dye company for many years. She is of the Baptist faith and has been a member of Mt. Pleasant Church since 1980, near Piedmont. Berniece loved her Lord and loved to read. She has read her Bible completely through many times over. Berniece also enjoyed fishing and hunting in her earlier years. She loved the outdoors, gardening, canning, taking nature walks and she has made many quilts over the years. She enjoyed sitting at her back door window watching the birds outside.  

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Berty Radford, Herbert Radford, Ralph Thompson; sisters: Faye Sullivan, Mirl Fears, Ava Lee Hensley, and Eula Wray. 

Berniece is survived by her children: Michael Schulz and wife Danielle of Park Hills, Christopher Schulz and wife Penny of Piedmont, Donna Cole of Piedmont; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother: Enoch Thompson of Piedmont. Berniece will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  

Visitation was held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Masonic Cemetery. Graveside service followed at 1:00 pm. Bro. Bill Turner ministered to the family. Chris Schulz, Slade Cole, Michael Schulz, Rick Thompson, David Davis, and Kevin Price served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
