Melvin Lee “Mel” Lindsey Jr.
Melvin Lee “Mel” Lindsey, Jr., departed this life Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mel was born July 26, 1972 to Melvin Lee Lindsey, Sr. and Diane Cupp Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his father June 17, 2011.
Mel had worked concrete early in life and spent the last several years driving and delivering packages for UPS.
His life revolved around spending time with his grandchildren and sons. He loved weekend family get togethers, riding around on his ranger, loved his dogs, and enjoyed hunting.
Surviving Mel are his mother Diane Lindsey of Doniphan; sons Derek (Samantha) Lindsey of Doniphan; Jake (Deonte) Lindsey; 3 grandchildren, Jayden (Booger), Braelynn (Sissy), Malia (Mia); one sister Tanya (D.J.) Price of Doniphan; one brother Shane (Kristi) Lindsey of Doniphan.
Mel requested a memorial service for family and close friends to honor his life, which was held Monday, November 15 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Church of God in Doniphan. Family and close friends were invited to be at the Church at 10:00 to visit and share stories.
