Rebecca “Becky” A. Tibbs

Rebecca “Becky” A. Tibbs, 56, of Clubb, MO, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was born August 27, 1965, to parents Wilbert “Bussie” and Judith (Allen) Croney.

Becky was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She married Darrol Glen Tibbs, October 17, 2000.

Becky enjoyed spending time with Darrol. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, watching the Golden Girls, and riding around. Becky was outspoken and did not sugar coat anything, she was very blunt.

Becky was also the deer whisperer. She aided a baby deer when it lost its mother and named it ‘lil one. The deer returned for a visit every evening and wore an orange collar, so everyone knew it was ‘lil one.

Becky’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of nineteen years; brother: Johnny Elbert Croney.

Becky is survived by her children: Roger Croney of Clubb, MO, Wesley Croney of Clubb, MO, Dorothy Bilbrey of Harviell, MO, Dana Vasquez of Kansas City, MO, Jessica Castle and husband Joshua of Marble Hill, MO; grandchildren: Rebecca Williams, Andrew Williams, Braynor Vasquez, Jewel Vasquez, Dawson Croney, Haley Garrett, Mason Weston, Gage Weston, Tabby Bilbrey, Marilyn Brimer, Kadence Brimer, Preston Castle, Claire Castle, Elanora Castle; brothers: Eugene Croney of Clubb, MO, Charles Croney of Poplar Bluff, MO; sisters: Bonnie Winberry and husband Harold of Coldwater, Ruth Vaughan and husband Tony of Poplar Bluff, MO, Betty Jo Pickens and husband Todd of Scopus, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Becky will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service was held Friday, November 19, 2021, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. Dan Ross ministered to the family. Roger Croney, Wesley Bilbrey, Gage Weston, Joshua Castle, Dawson Croney, Mason Weston, James Weston, Bobby Chevalier, and James Bilbrey served as pallbearers.
