Robert Edward Barnes, Sr.
Robert Edward Barnes, Sr. of Arcadia, MO entered into rest on April 30, 2022 at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 7 days. He was born November 23, 1939 in Redford, MO to the late Glen Edward Barnes and Bessie “McNeil” Barnes. In 1959, Robert was united
in marriage to Carolyn Wright who preceded him in rest on December 31, 2001. To this union four children were born, Robert Barnes, Jr. and wife Maureen of Arnold, MO, Deborah Bosler of St. Louis, MO, both of whom survive, and Lisa Ann Barnes and Patricia Marie Barnes, both of whom passed at birth. Other survivors include a brother Larry Barnes and wife Jeanette of Redford, MO, a sister Edna Lewis of Ellington, MO, a grandson Micheal Barnes, granddaughter Taylor Bosler, his companion since 1992, Paula Hinson of Arcadia, MO, a sister-in-law Helen Barnes of Ellington, MO, and many more loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in rest by his parents, his wife Carolyn, a brother Fred Barnes, and a sister Sharon Hampton and husband Jack.
For 20 years Robert worked for General Motors Company in the Corvette plant and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
