Clifford Nelson Middleton

Clifford Nelson Middleton, 86, of DeSoto died June 3, 2022, at his home with his wife and daughters by his side.  Mr. Middleton was a
Teamster truck driver who retired from MoPac/Union Pacific Railroad.  He was the recipient of the Million Mile Award for having driven a million miles without an accident. He said his greatest accomplishment in life was his family. Born March 30, 1936, he grew up in the Des Arc area and was the son of the late John and Edith (Jaynes) Middleton.  He is survived by his wife: Sue (McLane) Middleton of DeSoto; two daughters: Lane (Rick) Rhoades and Carla (Jeff) Bunch, both of Valles Mines; four grandchildren: Jamie (Billy) Mueller, Angela (Ryan) Neidhard, Jaclyn Bunch and Rick (Heather) Rhoades, Jr; and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by five brothers: George Ramey, Orville Ramey, twins Homer Middleton, Omer Middleton and Arthur Middleton; a sister, Viola Middleton.  A funeral service was held on June 9th at Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto, MO.   Interment will take place at Mann Cemetery in Annapolis, MO at a later date.
