Carol (Baker) Brooks

Carol (Baker) Brooks, daughter of Clee O. & Gladys Baker and Ruth & Elmer Miner, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 22, 1948. She departed this life in Branson, Missouri, on July 17, 2022, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 26 days.

Carol married Jerry Brooks on November 24, 1989, at The Jeep Club in Lesterville, Missouri. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lesterville, Missouri. She loved collecting frogs, traveling, playing cards and games, selling Avon, taking cruises, camping, singing, 4-wheeling, feeding her hummingbirds and watching Westerns. Carol’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her husband, Jerry Brooks of Branson, Missouri, five sons, Rick Brooks and wife Helen of San Antonio, Texas, Richard Howell and wife Ann of Perry, Iowa, Rickey Howell and wife Trena of Carbondale, Kansas, Jerry Flowers of Winona, Missouri, and Gary Brooks of Kansas City, Missouri, one daughter, Leah Hiatt and husband Wesley of Grandview, Missouri, one sister, Vicki Cash and husband Randy of Lesterville, Missouri, niece, Jodi McNeil and husband JR of Belleview, Missouri, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clee O. & Gladys Baker and Ruth & Elmer Miner, one brother, Kenny Baker, and one son, Brian Brooks.

Carol will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
