Hall of Honor Banquet, August 26
The 2nd annual Wayne County Hall of Honor banquet will be held at the Eagle Sky of the Ozarks camp, located between Patterson and Piedmont (physical address 1 Eagle Sky Drive, Piedmont, MO. 63957) on Friday, August 26. Social hour will begin and 6:00 p.m. with the banquet following at 7:00 p.m.
The Wayne County Historical Society will honor twelve worthy Wayne County individuals or couples that have been elected to receive induction into the Wayne County Hall of Honor. Those elected from ballots submitted by WCHS members were, Philip Bollinger, Sr., Katherine Golden, Freda Leach, Marion & Frieda Luna, Dr. O.A. Myers, Frank & Roxie Paullus and William Pinkney White. Those elected by the Hall of Honor nomination committee through special categories were, Debbie Conner, Edith Chronister, Joe English, Roy & Opal Payton and Alice J. Moyer-Wing. The 2022 Hall of Honor class represents 239 years of local history.
To attend please RSVP by mailing $29.00 per person to: Hall of Honor c/o David Bollinger, PO Box 241, Greenville, MO. 63944 or drop off your RSVP check to the Luna Museum on Wednesday or Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm. If you want to attend, you must RSVP by August 22. The caterers will need an accurate head count and no walk-ins for the meal will be accepted.
Everyone is invited to attend and pay honor to these worthy Wayne Countians.
