Two Injured in Rollover

Two area residents were injured in a rollover July 20 in Iron County. The crash occurred at 9:08 a.m. on Route C, two miles south of Annapolis.
Michael F. Mathes , 39, of Piedmont was westbound in a 2017 Freightliner.. The Highway Patrol said the accident occurred when Mathe’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Tylor J. Ray, 25, of Silva, sustained moderate injuries in the crash; the Highway Patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt. He was flown by Survival Flight to Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis.
Mathes was also moderately injured. He was transported by ambulance to Iron County Medical Center. Mathes was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.
