Daniel Martin

Daniel Martin of Viburnum, MO entered heaven’s band of angels on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the age of 43 years, 6 months, and 24 days. He was born January 18, 1979 in Farmington, MO, a son of Danny Martin and Jane (Maxson) Medlock.

Surviving Daniel are his parents, Danny Martin of Viburnum, MO, and Jane Medlock and husband Ed of Arnold, MO, three sons, Devin Martin of Fredericktown, MO, and Noah Martin and Aiden Martin of Sullivan, MO; two sisters, Jamie (Martin) Capriglione and husband Paul of Arnold, MO, and Tonya (Womble) Guiette and husband Michael of Arnold, MO, a niece and nephew Isabella and Jase Capriglione, his dog Bear, and many more loving family members, friends, and band mates.

After high school where he excelled in music and choir, Daniel started following his passion for music and started playing with everyone he could. He played with many different artists over the years and helped form several different bands in the area, two of the latest and most well-known being “Holding Ground” and “It Comes in Waves”. Daniel was an amazing guitar player and singer and had the energy and personality to bring in the fans. He knew how to work the crowd and how to make people have fun. He also played music for different churches to show his love for the Lord. He attended the Macedonia Baptist Church in Boss, MO and loved to praise there. The Lord gave him special talents and Daniel wanted to use those talents to give thanks and praise to Him.

While he was performing and writing music, Daniel also had several different jobs. He worked as a salesman for Blackwell Motors, Rent-A-Center, and Hefner Furniture and Appliance, and also worked for Froggy 95.9 and 107.1 The Zone. These are all jobs where you need a certain personality and energy, and Daniel had it all and some.

Daniel was a wonderful son, father, brother, bandmate, and friend. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him and love him.

Visitation for Daniel will held on Friday, August 26, 2022, beginning at 5:00 and will last until 7:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home in Ironton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, beginning at 7:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home in Ironton.
