Robert Lee Barks
Robert Lee Barks, age 70 of Greenville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born July 3, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Howard W. Barks and Ethel (Bottermann) Barks.
Robert was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He worked for the Sigma-Aldrich Company in St. Louis for many years before retiring to Greenville.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Howard and Ethel Barks and one sister, Mary Jane Baranowski.
Survivors include two children, Eric Barks and his wife Brittany, of St. Louis, Kristen Barks, of St. Louis, two brothers, Howard Barks, Jr. and his wife Lenora, of St. Louis and William Barks and his wife Debbie, of Silva.
In addition, he is survived by two grandchildren, Reid Barks and Brynn Barks, both of St. Louis, and many other family and friends.
Graveside Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, August 19, 2022 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Full Military Honors will be given by the Missouri Honor Guard and the US Navy. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
