Bobby Nowlin Keathley

Bobby Nowlin Keathley was born on June 18, 1936 in Memphis, TN. He departed this life at his home in Saxony Village in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on September 18, 2022 at the age of 86.

Bob and Yvonne Gary were married in 1956 and were the parents of four sons: David Keathley of Dexter, MO, Ronald Keathley and wife Miki of Henderson, NV, Gary Keathley and wife Cary of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, and Michael Keathley (deceased.)

Bob was involved in the family business of woodworking from an early age. He was President of IXL Manufacturing Company, Inc. until the family business was sold and he retired in 1997.

He had three special areas of interest – woodworking in his shop, his farm in Wayne County and Boy Scouts of America. He served as SEMO Council President and was on the St Louis Council Executive Committee.

Bob leaves behind his sister Marie Quinn of Dexter MO and sister-in-law Elaine King and husband John and ten grandchildren: Megan Keathley, Nolan Keathley and wife Sami, Hannah Keathley, Jamie Rizzo and husband Tyler, Caitlin McCallum and husband Jesse, Chris Keathley and wife Justine, Garrett Keathley, Hallie Keathley, Peyton Keathley, and Mason Keathley. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren; Logan McCallum, Everly McCallum, Julian Rizzo, Lincoln Rizzo, and Tripp Keathley. Bob also leaves behind cousins, other family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Life for Bob Keathley will be on Sunday October 9, 2022, at the Bernie United Methodist Church at 1:30pm. Memorials may be made to the Bernie United Methodist Church.
