Ancel Eugene Ivester

Ancel Eugene Ivester entered into rest at his home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the age of 81 Years, 1 Month and 9 Days. He was born September 16, 1941 in Ironton, MO, a son of the late Arthur and Nora (Ashlock) Ivester. On Aug. 12, 1964

He was united in marriage to Joyce Carol Wadlow who survives. To this union was born seven children; Jeffrey Ivester and wife Jackie of Chesapeake, VA, Duane Ivester of House Springs, Yvette Ivester and Charles of Ste. Genevieve, Shawn Ivester and Christy of Arcadia, Shannon Ivester of Park Hills, Desiree Nash Crocker and Benjie of Ironton, and Kristopher Ivester and Patricia of Fredericktown.

Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Elmer Leo Ivester; one grandchild, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Ancel was a 1959 graduate of Ironton High School. He was a member of Pilot Knob 1st Baptist Church and he proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps He loved being in the outdoors and hunting with his family and many friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Cole Family Chapel. Celebration of Life was held Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Cole Family Chapel with Elder Mark Sutton officiating. Interment will be held at Polk Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob.
