Timothy M. Sutton

Timothy M. Sutton, age 65, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at his home near Patterson. He was born November 17, 1957 at Poplar Bluff, MO, the son of Toney and Marjorie (Holmes) Sutton. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, Tim had worked as a logger and retired from MODOT on their Maintenance crew.

  He was married to Melinda Rainwater October 4, 1980 at Kime and was an active member and deacon at New Hope General Baptist Church.

  Preceding him in death are his parents, Toney and Marjorie Sutton and one brother, Ronald Sutton.

  Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Melinda Sutton, of the home, 2 children, Erica Michelle Rogers and her husband Donald, of Patterson, Ronald Anthony Sutton and his wife Mandy, of Patterson; 1 brother, Kenny Sutton and his wife Pam, of Patterson, 3 sisters, Rosa Mitchell, of Patterson, Toni Steward and her husband Dennis, of Kansas City, MO and Dawna Keel and her husband Blane, of Patterson.

  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Walker, Lainey and Augustus Rogers, Thatcher and Drake Sutton, and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

 Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the New Hope General Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Ross and Rev. Louie Robinson officiating.Toni Steward gave a tribute to her brother and Jeff Parker, Sarah Edgy and Hillary Henson provided special music. Dallas Sutton, Brent Huff, John Schlager, Blane Keel, Dennis Steward and Ryan Evans served as Pall Bearers.

  Interment was in the Montgomery Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to the New Hope General Baptist Church.
