Betty Rose Thomlison

Betty Rose Thomlison formerly of Pilot Knob, Missouri passed away December 7, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 72 years.  She was born April 16, 1950, in Cabool, Missouri the daughter of the late Earnest and Margie (Tuttle) Sharp.

On June 24, 1984, she was united in marriage to Arvel Vernon Thomlison who preceded her in death on July 30, 2016.   Betty is survived by her children, Deborah Sue Tucker (Doug) of Marshfield, Missouri, and Timothy Hackworth of Farmington, Missouri.  She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Lisa Hash, and her stepson, Richard Thomlison.  Also surviving is her brother, Walter Sharp (Rosie) of East Peoria, Illinois and her sister, Polly Reed of Bismarck, Missouri, seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Betty worked as a receptionist for the State of Missouri in Family Services for twenty-one years before retiring.  She was a member of the Ironton Nazarene Church when she lived in the Arcadia Valley. She served as the church Treasurer for many years.  She enjoyed participating in all types of church activities.  Betty was an excellent housekeeper and she enjoyed caring for her home.  She loved taking care of her grandson, Aticus his first year.  Betty loved to help others and would do anything she could to be helpful – sometimes to a fault.  She enjoyed all types of shopping, but especially for clothes.  She was kind and caring and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.   

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from Bryson Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Crocker officiating.  Visitation was held prior to the service.  Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to SMILES.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brysonfuneral home.com.
