Richard Leon Allen

Richard Leon Allen, age 75, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at his home near Clubb. He was born January 25, 1947 in Burbank, MO, the son of Elmo and Evelyn (Smith) Allen. 

Leon was a long time resident of Wayne county and had worked as a logger. He was married to Ruby Waller May 26, 1967 at Clubb.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Elmo and Evelyn Allen and 2 young sisters, Marylon Sue Allen and Eunice Louise Allen.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruby Allen, of the home, 2 daughters, Sandy Slusher and her husband Bill, of Goldsboro, NC, Sheri Allen, of Jacksonville, AR, 1 sister, Lois Link and her husband Marshall, of Puxico, MO and 3 grandchildren, Seth Slusher and his wife Hollie, of North Carolina, Brooke Dail and her husband Wesley, of North Carolina, Jordan Hillis, of Germany, and many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Greenville with Rev. Marshall Link and Rev. Mike Warren officiating. Special recorded songs were played for the service and Bill Slusher, Seth Slusher Wesley Dail, Wesley Waller, Gary Wilcox and Jerry Tibbs served as Pall Bearers. Interment was in the New Prospect Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
