Bunker Man Seriously Injured

A Bunker man was seriously injured Dec. 22, in a one-vehicle crash on Highway KK five miles east of Bunker. The accident occurred at 3:15 p.m.
Alec I. Hill, 24, was eastbound in a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. The Highway Patrol said Hill was travelling eastbound and slid through the intersection of Highway KK and Highway TT. He crossed the roadway and impacted the ditch.
Hill, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained serious injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to Phelps Healthcare in Salem.

Ellington Residents Seriously Injured

Two Ellington resident were seriously injured Dec. 24 in a one-vehicle accident north of Ellington. The crash occurred at 1:15 p.m. on Highway 21.
Shyanne M. Nash, 20, of Ellington was northbound in a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. The Highway Patrol aid her car travelled off the left side of the roadway, become airborne, and collided with an embankment.
Nash, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained seriously injuries. She was transported by ambulance to Iron County Regional Hospital. Passenger Austin D. Hill, 27, was flown by Survival Flight to St. Louis University Hospital with serious injuries. The Highway Patrol said Hill was not wearing a seat belt.

Garwood Man Injured

A Garwood man was injured Dec. 24 when he wrecked and was trapped under his vehicle. The accident occurred at 8:13 p.m. on Highway HH, one mile west of Route RA in Reynolds County.
Timothy R. Patterson, 45, was westbound in a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado. The Highway Patrol said his vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. Patterson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially pinned under the vehicle.
Patterson sustained moderate injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

Lesterville Woman Injured in Crash

A Lesterville woman was injured Christmas Eve in a one-vehicle crash near Graniteville. The accident occurred at 12:20 p.m. on Route N, two miles south of Graniteville.
Carolyn J. Thompson, 49, was northbound in a 2004 Mercury Grant Marquis. The Highway Patrol said the crash occurred when she lost control on partially snow covered roadway, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Thompson sustained moderate injuries and was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
