Margo Elanie Morris

Margo Elanie Morris, 79, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born in St. Louis, MO, May 31, 1943, to parents George and Ruth (Brown) Toohey. Margo had a smile that would light up the whole room, she never met a stranger. She enjoyed being with company and having visitors, everyone called her “Mama”. Margo was a long-time member of the Piedmont Eagles. If you knew Margo, you knew she was famous for her delicious pies that she shared with friends and family. She was a classy lady, you never seen her without her hat and nails done. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Ira Morris; son: William “Willie” O’Brian McMullin; brother: George Michael Toohey. Margo is survived by her children: Michael “Rile” and his wife Melissa (Parsons) McMullin of Piedmont, MO; Richard “Reggie” Reginald and his wife Tammy McMullin of Warrenton, MO; Chuck and his wife Gwen Morris of New Madrid, MO; Roger and his wife Sharon Morris of Festus, MO; Joan Gudicy of Festus, MO; Charlene Wilson and her fiancé Brad Smythe of Piedmont, MO; sister: Jan Barton of Florissant, MO; daughter in law: Kathy Jo McMullins; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margo will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation was held at 9:30 am, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 11:30 am, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Joe Griffith Jr. ministered to the family. Cory McMullin, George McMullin, Herbert McMullin, Steve McMullen, Scott Shepard, Ray McMullin, and Dillion McMullin served as pallbearers. Burial was in West Fork Sutterfield Cemetery, Boss, MO.
