Serenity (Gray) Sky Warren

Serenity (Gray) Sky Warren of Ellsinore passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the age of 16. She passed away driving her beloved mini cooper which she had named (Bullet),

Serenity was born May 9, 2006 to Melissa Brooks and Randy Warren of Ellsinore, who survive. Also surviving are her boyfriend/best friend Mark White, her sisters, Mercedes Williams (Taylor) of Vandalia, IL, Alpine Brooks, Destiny Brooks, Hunter Warren all from Ellsinore, and Tiffany Parsons of St. James, MO. her nieces Apollo Brooks, Ariaella Brooks, and nephews Oliver Brooks all of Ellsinore and Daniel Parsons of St. James. Her close friend Shannon Blount of Farmington, MO who introduced her to theater. As well as many friends and relatives all over the country.

The only Grandma she knew Anise Clemonds preceded her in death.

Serenity was a social butterfly who tried to cram as much life as she could into every minute. She loved trying different outfits and make-up and posting the results on Instagram. And no one could do eye makeup like her. She received compliments all the time on the way her eyes were done.

She loved performing in plays and had been in Anne of Green Gables, Mary Poppins, and Mamma Mia.

Serenity loved to write stories and was very good at it. She had a poem published and had won awards for her stories. She loved to sing and was in choir. She also loved Star Wars, Harry Potter, science, her dogs (Cierra and Archilles) and reading.

Serenity was taking college classes online while in high school to get a head start on the career she wanted as a Marine Biologist.

Serenity had very strong opinions and wasn’t afraid to voice them.  Especially if it was a cause she believed in. She was helpful to others which led to her being an organ donor.

She ran cross country, was a cheerleader, and was a member of JAG, FCCLA, Senior Beta, FBLA, Bird Backers, Art Clun, and Writing Club. Serenity was an officer in many of these and was state secretary for JAG which enabled her to go to Washington DC earlier this month. She loved her trip there and was so happy to have been chosen to be a state officer. She was also employed by McAllister Deli in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Serenity was a beautiful, spirited person who touched many lives and will be missed by so many people. She had her own style but it worked for her. No one else could have pulled off her look.

Services for Serenity were held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the East Carter County Elementary Gymnasium in Ellsinore, MO. Visitation was at 11:00 a.m. The Funeral was at 1:00 p.m. Burial was the following day December 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Polk/Liberty Cemetery on E. Hwy outside of Arcadia, MO.
