Kent Carl Howard

Kent Carl Howard, 64, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born in Juneau, AK, October 21, 1958, to parents Kloyce and Marie (Cheskev) Howard.

Kent served in the US Navy for twelve years. He came to Piedmont and never wanted to leave; Piedmont felt like home to him. He enjoyed going fishing, playing in pool tournaments, and loved to travel. Kent was a loving brother and son; he was the man of the world.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Bryon Howard; sister: Karen Tolbert.

Kent is survived by his brothers: Ronald and his wife Connie Howard of Wright City, MO and Kirk Howard of Ferguson, MO; sisters: Diane and her husband Dickie Dixon of Scott City, MO, Joy and her husband Bobby Kitchell of Dittmer, MO, Anne and her husband Tim Roberson of Union, MO; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral mass followed at 12:00 pm, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Piedmont. Father Daniel Hirtz ministered to the family. Bobby Kitchell, Jake Baker, Tim Robertson, Kirk Howard, Ronnie Howard, and Zack Howard served as pallbearers. Burial was in Forest Chapel Cemetery in Piedmont.
