Danny “Sonny” Cloin
Dallas “Sonny” Cloin entered into rest on Thursday, February 2, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 77 Years, 7 Months, and 23 Days. He was born on June 10, 1945 in Pilot Knob, Missouri to the late Dallas Pryor and Thelma (Carlock) Cloin.
On August 8, 1978, Sonny was united in marriage to Claudia “Woods” Cloin who preceded him in rest on November 14, 2022.
Surviving Sonny are three children, Amy Carrington and husband Paul of Pilot Knob, MO, Abigail Kreutz and husband Gary of Catawissa, MO, and Dallas “Buddy” Cloin, Jr. and companion Krissy Craig of Ironton, MO; 11 grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsy, Chad, Katie, Breeanna, Aubrey, Cody, Tyler, Jordan, Ashley, and Cole; five great-grandchildren, Kayson, Reese, Aiden, Alex, and Autum; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Sonny is preceded in rest by his parents, his wife Claudia, a daughter Tamra Halter, a brother Cledous Cloin, and three sisters, Patsy Holder, Juanita King, and Clara Mae Allers.
For many years, Sonny worked for the Arcadia Valley School District in the maintenance department and was a skilled carpenter. There wasn’t much Sonny didn’t have a hand in when it came to keeping the school in top working order. He was proud of the work he did and it showed in his workmanship and character. He was kind to all of the students and staff and made the school a better place for everyone.
Sonny was a believer in Jesus Christ, attended the First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob, was a life-time member of the Arcadia Valley Elks lodge, and was a true friend to many. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Visitation for Sonny will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cole Family Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am at Cole Family Chapel.
Interment will follow the services in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Elder Mark Sutton will be officiating the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society.
