Charles “Bear” Miller

 Charles “Bear” Miller, age 79 of Piedmont, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born May 5, 1943 in Qulin, MO, the son of Charles L. Miller and Myrtle (Pratt) Miller.

  Bear was a long time resident of Piedmont and retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member and past president of the Wayne Saddle Club, a member of the Piedmont Masonic Lodge #526 and the Shriners International. He loved horses and his Harley and had attended Lebanon Baptist Church.

  Preceding him in death are his parents, Charles and Myrtle Miller and one brother, Johnny Miller.

  Survivors include his daughter, Megan McFadden, of Greenville, one brother, Dallas Miller and his wife Cecelia, of South Carolina, two sisters, Christine Brady, of Peru, IN, Alice Wells, of Barnhart, MO and his long time companion, Corrine Beasley, of Piedmont.

  Also surviving are his two grandchildren, Riley “Kickstand” Young, Allie Young, and many other family and friends.

  Masonic Services were conducted by the Piedmont Lodge #526 and Funeral Services followed on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Bro. Richard Sanders and Bro. Gary Beiseman conducted the services and special recorded songs were played. Buddy Ferguson, Scoty Ferguson, Riley Young, Greg Young, Glen Gamblin, Phil Brown, Brett Brown and Marty Coldiron served as Pall Bearers. Interment was in the Alwood Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
