Hazel Lucille Pulley
Hazel Lucille Pulley, daughter of the late John Edwin Voyles and Lila Easter (Hendricks) Voyles, was born in Lesterville, Missouri, on March 30, 1932. She departed this life at her residence in Centerville, Missouri, on February 21, 2023, at the age of 90.
On June 6, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, Hazel was united in marriage to John Lindell “Pete” Pulley and to this loving union four children were born. Hazel was a member of the Centerville 1st Baptist Church. She was a WMU Director, Vacation Bible School Director and Sunday School Teacher. Hazel enjoyed embroidering and making quilts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grand kids and great-grand kids.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jimmy Voyles and John Voyles Jr., and three sisters, Martha Zaner, Lois Jackson and Betty Lou Voyles.
Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Pete Pulley of Centerville, Missouri, two sons, Michael John Pulley and wife Brenda of Centerville, Missouri, and Roger Dale Pulley and wife Debra of Marquand, Missouri, two daughters, Gayla Joyce Breslin and husband Bob of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Tammy Marie Christopher and husband Ken of Irondale, Missouri, one brother, Tommy Voyles of Florida, three sisters, Rosalene Hughie of Pilot Knob, Missouri, Carolyn Bowles of Florida, and Peggy Ann Fair of Pilot Knob, Missouri, 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Hazel will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation: Friday, February 24, 2023, 5-8PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri
Funeral services were held on February 25, 2023, at Centerville First Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Jeff Maxwell and Pastor Zack Wakefield assisting..Pallbearers: Jeremy Pulley, Justin Dunn, Brayden Parker, Hirshell Parker, Tyler Wisdom and Rollin Wisdom. Interment services follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery Ellington, Missouri. Funeral arrangements provided by McSpadden Funeral Home Ellington Missouri.
