Ann Lucy

Ann Lucy of Pilot Knob, MO, entered into rest on Thursday, March 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70 Years and 8 Months. She was born July 30, 1952 in Ironton, MO to the late Fred and Gladys (Hooper) Lashley. On October 2, 1970, Ann was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Lucy who preceded her in rest on June 19, 1999. To this union three children were born, Mandy Lucy of Pilot Knob, MO, Teasha Hughes and husband Dereck of Ironton, MO, and Austin Lucy (fiancée Kelcee Tucker) of Pilot Knob, MO, all of whom survive. Also surviving are one granddaughter McCoy Lucy of Ironton, MO, one brother Charles “Buzz” Lashley and wife Agnes of Pilot Knob, MO, two sisters, Dixie Morris and husband Jim of Arcadia, MO, and Linda Huffman of Pilot Knob, MO; a brother-in-law Charlie Kitchen, and many more loving family members and friends. She is preceded in rest by her parents, her husband Bob, an infant brother Eric Lashley, two sisters Jan Kitchen and Ginger Laird, and two brothers-in-law, Duck Laird and Gary Huffman. Ann worked several different jobs to support her family after Bob’s passing. She worked in food service and housekeeping for pretty much every nursing home, residential care facility, and school system around the area. When Ann wasn’t working, she enjoyed canning, quilting, embroidering, cooking, gardening, bird watching, browsing Facebook, Mountain Dew, and a little bit of gossiping. She was an amazing cook and could make just about anything; her dirt cake should have been famous around the world. There was always a seat at her kitchen table for her children’s friends, an open ear to listen, and advice when it was needed (even if you didn’t want to hear it). She cared about many people and had a strong, pure heart and soul. Ann Lucy will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Visitation for friends to gather will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Chapel. Interment will follow the services in the Graniteville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ann’s wishes were donations be made to her granddaughter McCoy Lucy’s college fund.
