Teresa “Tweet” Mae McClanahan

Teresa “Tweet” Mae McClanahan, daughter of the late Freda Bennett, was born on July 14, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She departed this life at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on March 22, 2023 at the age of 70.

On December 22, 1984, in Thunderbird, Oklahoma, Teresa was united in marriage to J.D. McClanahan. Teresa enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping, and playing Yahtzee with her great-grandson. She loved traveling, her animals and feeding hummingbirds.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Cecil Tucker, and Wesley and Jimmy Atkinson.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, J.D. McClanahan of Centerville, Missouri, two sons, Jimmy Hillis of Ohio, and Jamie McClanahan of Bunker, Missouri, three daughters, Joyce Hillis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Petina Jones and husband Charles of Centerville, Missouri, and Tiffany Keeney, niece, Patsy DeJournett, eight grandchildren, Brittney Pratt, Trey Connover, Briley Keeney, Levi Henderson, Jordan McClanahan, Jonathan McClanahan, Jimmy Hillis Jr. and Connor Keeney, and one great-grandchild, Dontae Pratt. Teresa will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation: Monday, March 27, 2023, 11AM-1PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri
