Jeffery ‘Jeff’ Dean Allen

Jeffery ‘Jeff’ Dean Allen, son of the late James Freddie Allen and N. Imogene (Smith) Allen, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 18, 1959. He departed this life at his residence in Ruble, Missouri, on April 21, 2023, at the age of 64.

On June 29, 1979, in Ruble, Missouri, Jeff was united in marriage to Monica Hedrick and to this loving union three children were born. Jeff was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Barnesville Masonic Lodge. He was saved at a young age during Vacation Bible School, and in 2023 later in life he rededicated his life to Jesus. In his childhood he enjoyed riding bikes and hunting. During early adulthood he enjoyed trail riding the countryside on horseback. In his later years he enjoyed 4-wheeling and going on jeep and side by side rides. He loved being outdoors, his John Deere tractors, farming, cattle, trucks and jeeps. He was known for joking around with everyone, and he had a nickname for most. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Butch Walker, and father-in-law, Warren Hedrick.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Monica Allen of Ellington, Missouri, one son, Jason Allen and wife Jenny of Ellington, Missouri, two daughters, Amber Litters and husband Eric of Ellington, Missouri, and Angela Ruble and husband Michael of Annapolis, Missouri, one sister, Patti Walker of Ellington, Missouri, and 8 grandchildren, Gabe, Wayland, Caden, Jasper, Ethan, Sadie, Annie and Mila. Jeff will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.

Visitation was held Monday, April 24, 2023, 10AM-1PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Funeral followed at 1PM.Pastor Doug Massie ministered.

Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Martin, Eddie Williams, and Jackie Morrison.

In Lieu of Flowers: Donations can be made to Bethlehem Cemetery, Barnesville Masonic Lodge or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
