Greenville R-II Begins Construction on New Superintendent’s Building

By: Clay Steward

Construction for the new superintendent’s office at Greenville has started. Currently, the contractor is building the access road to the building and installing drainage around that road and the building site.
Excavation of the building basement will start as soon as the base for the road is complete. Excess fill dirt from in and around the basement site will be used to further build up the access road.
Besides the construction on the new superintendent’s building there have been two staff reassignments. Riley Burns is moving from the Jr. High Social Studies position to be the District Athletic Director and Missouri Options Teacher. Burns will also be teaching some elective courses. He will also continue to coach Jr. High Baseball. Garrett Alexander, who is currently a 6th Grade Teacher at the Elementary, will be taking the Jr. High Social Studies position.
