Frances Marion Hill

Frances Marion Hill, daughter of the late Reverend Paul Smith and Virginia (Waremburg) Smith, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 11, 1943. She departed this life at her residence in Lesterville, Missouri, on June 17, 2023, at the age of 79.

On June 2, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Lesterville, Missouri, Frances was united in marriage to Wade Hill and to this loving union three children were born. Frances was a member of the Lesterville First Baptist Church where she taught anyone from young children to senior ladies. She enjoyed going to church, sewing, crocheting and upholstery work. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Julia Webb and Paula Chadbourne, and two great-grandchildren, Douglas and Bradyn.

Frances is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Wade Hill of Lesterville, Missouri, two sons, John Hill and David Hill both of Lesterville, Missouri, one daughter, Cynthia Briggs and husband Randy of Desoto, Missouri, one sister, Gail Chadbourne and husband Eugene of Lesterville, Missouri, 5 grandchildren, Heather, Samuel, Kristofer, Stephanie and Daniel, and 5 great-grandchildren, Deagyn, Camdyn, Aden, Liam and Leon. Frances will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation was held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 4-8PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Missouri.

Funeral was held  Wednesday, June 21, 2023, 11AM at McSpadden Funeral Home.
