Erma Pruitt

Erma Pruitt, 78, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Piedmont, October 21, 1944, to parents Clayton H and Cora Blanche (Eads) Allen.

Erma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Harvest Baptist Church. Erma was married to Clayton “Eugene” Pruitt for fifty-four years before his passing. They were blessed with two children. She later married Herbert Sullivan on April 5, 2017. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping every year at Clearwater Lake. She loved to play games, especially with the grandkids. Her favorites include badminton or any board games. Erma enjoyed going to church as well as singing in the choir. Church was an important part of her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepmother: Beulah Allen; husband: Eugene Pruitt; grandchild: Tiffany Pruitt; brothers: Russell, Clarence, and Marvin Allen; sister: Kathleen Robinson.

Erma is survived by her husband of five years; children: Charles Pruitt of St. Genevieve, Gina Walsh and Kevin Walsh of Bloomsdale; grandchildren: Heather Ferguson, Rachael Ferguson, Makayla Pruitt; great-grandchildren: Kalie Weiler, Kara Ferguson, Trenton Young, Lucas Walsh, Dylan Ferguson; brother: Dennis Allen and wife Alice of Ellsinore; sister: Pam Willis and husband Tom of Patterson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Erma will be greatly missed.

Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel.

Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel.

Bro. Pete Ruble ministered to the family. Justin, Danny Robinson, Troy Robinson, Tom Willis, Levi Willis, Adam Allen, Tommy Allen, Damon King served as pallbearers.

Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery, Piedmont.
