Robert ‘Bob’ Michael Sutton

Robert ‘Bob’ Michael Sutton, 75, of Des Arc, Mo, passed away July 1, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born May 20, 1948, at Riverside in Reynolds County, MO, of the late Ervin and Lena (Williams) Sutton.

Bob was a loving father and grandfather. He was united in marriage to Brenda K. Davis on July 9, 1967, and they were blessed with one son. He attended Des Arc school for a few years and then graduated from Clearwater High School. Bob proudly service in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970. He was an overhead crane operator for Asarco Lead Smelter and enjoyed splitting wood.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-six years; brothers: Clarence Sutton, Timon Sutton, Billy Ray Sutton; sisters: Emily Kimes and Dorothy Sutton.

Bob is survived by his son, Robby Sutton and wife April of Des Arc; grandchildren; Lindsey Lord and husband Joe of St. Louis, Dustin Sutton of Piedmont; step-grandchildren: McKenzie Morehead and Breanna Morehead both of Des Arc; brothers: George Sutton, Norman Sutton, Jim Sutton all of Piedmont; sisters: Bernice Kimes of Piedmont, Carolyn Street of Patterson, Agnes Nelson of Spring Branch, TX; and many relatives and friends.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel.

Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Wayne Street ministered to the family. Jacob Davis, Aaron Sutton, Jason Sutton, Timothy Dake, Joe Lord, Jack Lashley served as pallbearers.
