Harold ‘HB’ B. Walker
Harold “HB” B. Walker, 78, of Dexter, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 doing what he loved, cruising with his VFW motorcycle buddies on his way to see Veterans Wall in Perryville, MO.
He was born March 19, 1945 in Dexter, MO to Earl and Elvira (Burnett) Walker.
HB and Helen were childhood friends that grew up together, they married in 1966. She survives him in Dexter, MO.
He served in United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division, earning National Defense Service Medal.
He was a retired autoworker for GM and a Jack of all trades, working in anything from restaurants to construction, HB could do it all.
He was a member of VFW Post #3416 and American Legion Post #153.
HB Walker enjoyed taking his motorcycle out to cruise to different areas, especially with his VFW friends in tow. He will be remembered most for his warmth, love and care towards friends and family.
Survivors include significant other, Helen Walker of Dexter, MO; daughter, Bettysue (Greggory “Todd”) Alsup of Poplar Bluff, MO; son, H. Jason (Sarah) Walker of South Bend, IN; brother, Ralph (Pam) Walker of Lake Wappapello, MO; four sisters, June Bollinger of Lady Lake, FL, Tina Wolbert of Lady Lake, FL, Judy Duncan of Lady Lake, FL, Wanda (RC) Cobb of Lake Wappapello, MO; three grandchildren, Jaquline, Joshua, Alexandria; three great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Shyla, Kynaddie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Lisa (Bratcher) Walker; three brothers, Bill Walker, Howard Walker, Nolan Walker; three sisters,Vern Becraft, Maxine Sims, Barbara McMullin.
A graveside service at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield will be announced and held at a later date.
Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
