Liberty Utilities residential customers will see a rate hike by 2.39%
Beginning October 1st, Liberty Utilities residential customers in the southeast district will see a rate hike by 2.39% for those of those using approximately 10,000 cubic feet of natural gas. The rate change reflects the Weather Normalization Adjustment Rider which authorizes rate adjustments based on weather variations.
The purpose of the increase is to adjust revenue for differences between actual heating degree days and normal heating degree days. The Southeast District service area includes the counties of Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Iron, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne.
