Saddle Up and put on your boots! The Reynolds County Fair will open Thursday evening in Redord. There’s going to be three days worth of fun at the 45th Reynolds County Fair.
The fair will continue through Saturday night. Thursday night is free admission; Friday and Saturday there is an admission fee.
Thursday events include the opening of exhibits and carnival. On Friday night, mule jumping will begin at 6 p.m. A Jackpot Bull Ridge is slated for 7 p.m.; signup starts at 5 p.m. Cameron Kopp will entertain Friday night.
A parade will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday; lineup begins at 9:30 a.m. Grand Marshals will be Larry and Jeannette Barnes.
Saturday events include cutest cowboy and cowgirl contest, baby and tot contest at noon (registration 10:30-11:30), live gospel music, a coon treeing contest at 1 p.m., mounted cowboy shooting (showtimes are 1:30 and 5:30 p.m.), old-fashioned games, Miss Reynolds County pageant at 5 p.m., and bull riding at 7 p.m. (if competing, cowboy attire required).
Frogmore Stew will entertain Saturday night.
