Margaret Ward

Margaret Helen Ward 90, passed away very peacefully Sunday November 19, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born February 19, 1933 to Helen and Pearl Shoemake from Silva, MO.
Margaret and her late husband Alfred Ward were married on May 1, 1950 in Piggott, AR. They were formerly from Patterson, MO.  Several years ago, they moved to Arnold, MO.
Margaret was a member of the Bethesda General Baptist Church of Imperial, MO since 1968.  She shared her faith with everyone she met.  She loved singing “O How I Love Jesus” and “Jesus Loves Me” and would always say AMEN at the end of the song.  In later years when Margaret could not get out to church, she got up at 5:00 on Sunday Morning to watch her favorite preacher, Charles Stanley.
Margaret was a preschool teacher before retiring.  Many of her students would see her years later and would always be so excited to see Miss Margaret.  One of her favorite sayings was GOODY GOODY GUMDROPS.  Margaret said, “I LOVE YOU” to everyone.   She always made everyone smile and they would say that she was such a joy to be around.
Preceding her in death are his parents, Pearl and Helen Shoemake, 2 brothers,  James and Pearl, Jr., and one sister, Betty Aubuchon.
Survivors include three children, Francis McFadden and her husband Alvin, of Terre Haute, IN, Fred Ward and his wife Cathy, of Farmington, MO, Farris Ward, of Arnold, MO, one sister, Jewell Harris, of Farmington, MO; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont with Rev. Alvin McFadden officiating. Rev. McFadden and Fred Ward provided special music and Westin Linville, Peyton DePriest, Mason DePriest, Chris Jackson, Jacob Ward and Farris Joe Ward served as Pall Bearers. Interment was in the Montgomery Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
