The Missouri 4-H Foundation with funds from Crader Distributing Co. and Stihldealers.com awarded a $1000 grant to the Viburnum Blue Jays 4-H Club to help with a project to replace the Iron County C-4 School District Middle School sign. Along with financial support and design help from the Iron County C-4 School District, the Blue Jays 4-H club members helped to put up the sign and create a garden area around the sign.
Clara Gibbs, Vice President of the Viburnum Blue Jays 4-H Club stated that “I love it that our 4-H group was part of the new sign that was installed in front of the middle school. It looks great and shows our Blue Jay pride. The Iron County C-4 School Board and Administration issued a statement saying “The Iron County C-4 School District wanted to thank the local 4H club for the work done on replacing the Viburnum Middle School sign. The district appreciates the hard work and community service the 4-H Club members provide. The new sign is a great addition to the Middle School campus. We thank everyone involved in the process.”
